چکیده
In the current paper, numerical simulations of combustion turbulent CH4-H2 are presented employing standard k-epsilon and RNG for turbulence closure. The Fr-ED concept is carried out to account chemistry/ interaction. hydrogen content varied in fuel stream from 0% 100%. solutions validated by comparison with corresponding experimental data Combustion Laboratory University Milan. flow directed radially outward. This method injection has been already explored experimentally. results show that structure flame described reasonably both k-ɛ k- ɛ models can predict shape. general aspect temperature profiles well predicted. indicating a different trend between CH4 CH4/H2 mixtures.

متن کاملAn Investigation of Fuel Mixing and Reaction in a CH4/Syngas/Air Premixed Impinging Flame with Varied H2/CO Proportion
For industrial applications, we propose a concept of clean and efficient combustion through burning syngas on an impinging burner. We performed experimental measurements of particle image velocimetry, OH radical (OH*) chemiluminescence, flame temperature, and CO emission to examine the fuel mixing and reaction of premixed impinging flames of CH4/syngas/air with H2/CO in varied proportions. The ...
متن کاملDroplet Transport in a Swirl-Stabilized Spray Flame
Droplet transport processes that occur in fuel sprays and spray flames were examined using laser velocimetry, phase Doppler interferometry, and laser sheet beam photography. Droplet size and velocity (axial and radial) distributions were obtained in a swirl-stabilized, pressure-atomized kerosene spray under nonburning and burning conditions. The results show that the introduction of swirl to th...
متن کاملSimulation of Nitrogen Emissions in a Premixed Hydrogen Flame Stabilized on a Low Swirl Burner
There is considerable interest in developing fuel-flexible, low emissions turbines for power generation. One approach is based on burning a variety of lean premixed fuels with relatively low flame temperatures. Such flames can be stabilized in a low swirl burner configuration, for example, using a variety of fuels such as pure hydrogen and hydrogen-seeded hydrocarbon mixtures. However, many hyd...
